Leper is a simple hero, all things considered, but a hulking mass of HP and one-shot potential is not to be underestimated.ĭarkest Dungeon is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, iOS, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. Reflection gives a generous stat boost for Revenge, while Bloody Shroud gives a swathe of resistances to complement Withstand. His camping skills are interesting, offering two stress heals that cost either health or allied stress, but Reflection and Bloody Shroud are the mainstays. His moves are otherwise very simple, consisting of two attacks, a stealth clear, a corpse clear, and a self-heal for sustain.
Mark-focused enemies like Fungal Scratchers can be a problem, but Solemnity lets him sustain himself while the healer focuses elsewhere. Withstand buffs Leper's resistances and marks him, turning him into a more traditional tank. With the right quirks and buffs, this can let Leper tear through just about anything. (I haven't been to the darkest dungeon yet but am close) I'm interested to know what heroes/party composition you think is best to tackle the Weald. Revenge buffs his otherwise poor damage and accuracy, allowing for plain, big ol' damage numbers. The Weald seems to be, for me, the toughest area in the game.
I personally think it's one of the most all-around solid combinations in the game.Leper has two styles of play: Revenge and Withstand. You do lose out on a stun, but you gain in accuracy. If you're feeling confident, replace the Vestal with an Arbalest for the extra mark synergy and suppressing fire's accuracy debuff. If you end up in a battle with two Fungal scratchers remaining, have him guard the MAA in first position and laugh as they miss for 10 consecutive turns while your Vestal heals everyone back to full.Īlso, there are enough high prot, high health enemies that the HM's mark is totally worth using. Houndmaster with dodge trinkets becomes virtually invincible after using Guard dog once or twice, as quite a few of the enemies appear to have low base accuracy. Having both of the classes with Guard abilities is helpful against the high single-target damage enemies (giants and scratchers, along with enemies that mark targets). The Weald plays host to a widespread and unnatural fungal infestation, and the fruits and victims of this spreading corruption are the primary. The only roads to the Hamlet pass through these woods, making it an important area to cleanse. Vestal - Bounty Hunter - Houndmaster - Man At Arms The Weald is the second dungeon that can be explored.
